THE REASON JESUS CAME

We remember the Fall and how God’s perfect relationship with Adam and Eve was destroyed by Satan (Genesis 2:16-17, 3:1-6 and :15).  So the reason Jesus came:

1 John 3:8

8 He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.

2 Timothy 1:8-10

8  So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God,

9 who has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,

10 but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

From the above, Jesus destroyed death – the work of the devil.  Please tell your family and friends that eternal life is only through Jesus’ death and resurrection.
