BRITAIN, AMERICA AND COVENANT NATIONS CAN THEY MAKE IT!

– TRUSTING SPIRITUAL REVIVAL IN JESUS’ REDEEMING LOVE

In our lives whenever we strive in faithfulness and obedience to God to be good, the devil is there to deceive and destroy.

Yes, they can make it! The answer is in Holy Scripture where Almighty God gives the answer. I am constantly encouraged and thankful to Almighty God for the Holy Spirit’s guiding of the Editorial team for the Godly discernment in each editorial. In the recent issue [1] I honour the insights quoting Dr Coggan who argued: “Economic regeneration had to be accompanied by moral regeneration.”ly Spriits’s guidlHol

Before this liberal, post-modern existential neo-tolerant relativistic evil age, biblical truth was reverenced. I am reminded of two critical truths encouraging the spiritual welfare of a nation – from Proverbs:

Proverbs 29.17-19

Discipline your son, and he will give you peace; he will bring delight to your soul. Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but blessed is he who keeps the law. A servant cannot be corrected by mere words; though he understands, he will not respond.

Further, Our Lord Jesus speaks of the truth of the end of the age – in Matthew: Jesus answered:

Matthew 24.4-5

“Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.“

Also:

Matthew 24.9-13

“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.

Is Covenant Nation Britain (Ephraim) and Covenant Nation America (Manasseh) going to wake up and be strong and courageous as Churchill stood firm honouring Almighty God in 1938-1945?  Are we all becoming worthless and soft? The Apostle Paul recorded:

Romans 3.10-12

As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.”

Our forefathers were faithful to Almighty God and stood firm against all evil!

Further, in the truth of the Editorial: “Many are realizing that a materialistic answer is no real answer at all.  There are moral and spiritual issues at stake. The truth is that we in Britain are without anchors. We are drifting towards chaos. A common enemy in two world wars drew us together in united action – and we defeated him. Another enemy is at the gates today, and we keep silence…. It is time we spoke plainly.”

Marxist deconstructionism, discrimination and political correctness is silencing free speech. Remember what Churchill said in his book THE RIVER WAR [2]. I pray that you may be able to find a copy of Volume II. Volumes I and II have been condensed into one book and the above reference has been deleted. Why?

The insights of this Editorial are dynamite! Hence the comment: “Where are the shepherds to lead our national flock?”

I have preached on many occasions on what Almighty God said to Ezekiel:

Ezekiel 22.1-3

The word of the LORD came to me: “Son of man, will you judge her? Will you judge this city of bloodshed? Then confront her with all her detestable practices and say: This is what the Sovereign LORD says: O city that brings on herself doom…”

It is all about what this Editorial has said above about ‘shepherds’ – further from Ezekiel:

Ezekiel 34.1-3

The word of the LORD came to me: “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy and say to them: This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Woe to the shepherds of Israel who only take care of themselves! Should not shepherds take care of the flock? You eat the cheese, clothe yourselves with the wool and slaughter the choice animals, but you do not take care of the flock.”

Ezekiel 34.10

And: This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against the shepherds and will hold them accountable for my flock. I will remove them from tending the flock so that the shepherds can no longer feed themselves. I will rescue my flock from their mouths, and it will no longer be food for them.

When I remember the Seven Days of Prayer King George VI requested of the Empire during WWII I am amazed that the following comment has fallen on deaf ears: “The experience of the 2020 ‘pandemic’ for the Covenant Nations has been one of severe testing as the economic effects have deepened. Repeated requests have been made to the Prime Minister for a National Day of Prayer, all of which failed.”

Luke 16.19-31

Their ears are deaf! Jesus often taught about listening and hearing. On one occasion when He did it, it involved all of our eternal futures – from Luke: “There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores. “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’ “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’ “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father’s house, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’ “Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’ ” ‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’ He said to him: “If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.”

They did not listen. Are our Covenant Nations listening?

The Editorial has clearly defined the weakness: “…The Anglican hierarchy would rather talk progressive politics.”

Over the past 400 years, until the 1950s Covenant Nation Britain (Ephraim) was truly evangelically faithful to Almighty God. Faithful in Jesus’ call – from Matthew:

Matthew 28.18-19

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…”

Covenant Nation Britain (Ephraim) was ordained by Almighty God and put first as Holy Scripture teaches:

Genesis 48.17-19

When Joseph saw his father placing his right hand on Ephraim’s head he was displeased; so he took hold of his father’s hand to move it from Ephraim’s head to Manasseh’s head. Joseph said to him, “No, my father, this one is the firstborn; put your right hand on his head.” But his father refused and said, “I know, my son, I know. He too will become a people, and he too will become great. Nevertheless, his younger brother will be greater than he, and his descendants will become a group of nations.”

I believe the “group of nations” above in this type/shadow comparison represents current Covenant Nations, especially highlighting the FELEG [3] group defined in an earlier issue. And we remember Moses receiving Almighty God’s commands:

Exodus 19.3-8

Then Moses went up to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain and said, “This is what you are to say to the house of Jacob and what you are to tell the people of Israel: ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt, and how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself. Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.” So, Moses went back and summoned the elders of the people and set before them all the words the Lord had commanded him to speak. The people all responded together, “We will do everything the Lord has said…”

But as today, the people did not, and FELEG nations today definitely are not obedient to Almighty God.

Psalm 130.7-8 is so encouraging:

O Israel, put your hope in the Lord , for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption. He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.

However, Scripture reminds us of rebellion:

Ezekiel 2.3

Almighty God said: “Son of man, I am sending you to the Israelites, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me; they and their fathers have been in revolt against me to this very day.”

In the New Covenant Almighty God would send another “Son of Man” – His Son Jesus as we will see. The people did not listen – Ezekiel records:

Ezekiel 20.21

“But the children rebelled against me: They did not follow my decrees; they were not careful to keep my laws-although the man who obeys them will live by them and they desecrated my Sabbaths. So I said I would pour out my wrath on them…”

The Lord has mercy on the remnant, the truly faithful, giving them a greater knowledge of Him – Jeremiah records:

Jeremiah 24.7

I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord . They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart.

Also:

Jeremiah 31.18-19

“I have surely heard Ephraim’s moaning: ‘You disciplined me like an unruly calf, and I have been disciplined. Restore me, and I will return, because you are the Lord my God. After I strayed, I repented; after I came to understand, I beat my breast. I was ashamed and humiliated because I bore the disgrace of my youth.’

From the truth in Jeremiah above, is this type/shadow comparison going to be taken on board today for Covenant Nation Britain (Ephraim), Covenant Nation America (Manasseh) – indeed all Covenant Nations and Territories? Jesus, the Son of Man, came ‘to seek and save what was lost (Luke 19.10). Concerning the truth and blessing of ‘knowing’, Jesus taught a wonderful truth on the day before Good Friday, as He was about to complete His mission of saving the elect – as John records:

John 17.1-5

After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.

For all our Covenant Nations today, there is forgiveness. Jesus said: “His sheep listen to His voice.” Please read John 10.3-4.

Jesus reminds us all. Remember this wonderful truth from Jesus recorded by Mark:

Mark 4.11-12

He told them, “The secret of the kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is said in parables so that, they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise, they might turn and be forgiven!”

The remnant of the Old Covenant and true believers of the New Covenant are forgiven. The Apostle Paul reveals our Covenant Nations eternal hope:

Romans 11.11-12

Again, I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious. But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their fullness bring!

And:

Romans 11.22-26

Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off. And if they do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. After all, if you were cut out of an olive tree that is wild by nature, and contrary to nature were grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much more readily will these, the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree! I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. And so, all Israel will be saved,…

We continue to pray for spiritual revival for all Covenant Nations and Territories.
