THE BLESSING OF SPIRITUAL INSPIRATION

In our lives whenever we strive in faithfulness and obedience to God to be good, the devil is there to deceive and destroy.

The other day, I prayed a prayer that I wish to share with all faithful true believers in Almighty God in our Covenant Nations and Territories: “Almighty God, I come to You remembering the problems of evil in our Covenant Nations. They have forgotten their first love. Lord they are not remembering the height from which they have fallen. Lord we are coming to know through the Ministry of the Editorial team the weaknesses we see in us – our Covenant Nations. Lord through Your Holy Spirit’s inspiration let Your love and forgiveness fill us again, bring us all back to You through the power of Your inspiring, redeeming love. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

We need to remember our calling – to be Covenant Nations. Over the centuries each true believer and every born-again Christian was inspired and understood the call to believe. John recorded about Jesus:

John 1.10-12

“He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God…”.

Just as we are born physically in order to breathe so we  have to be born-again spiritually before we can breathe spiritually.

The faithful church in Covenant Nation Britain (Ephraim) understood this for the past 400 years. They were inspired by Jesus’ call that:

John 6.37-39

“All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.

In each of our Covenant Nations there is the need to be ‘refired’:

Ephesians 4.22-24

“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

I am reminded of a hymn:

Breathe on me, breath of God,

fill me with life anew,

that I may love what Thou dost love,

and do what Thou wouldst do.

Breathe on me, breath of God,

until my heart is pure,

until with Thee our will is one,

to do and to endure.

Breathe on me, breath of God,

till I am wholly Thine,

until this earthly part of me

glows with Thy fire divine.

Breathe on me, breath of God,

so shall I never die,

but live with Thee the perfect life

of Thine eternity.

The Holy Spirit inspired Solomon, giving him Godly wisdom. The proverbs were written to inspire the youth of Israel about how to behave and be responsible in society. My definition of wisdom is pragmatic – simply actions that lead to success, and for the lives of the faithful in our Covenant Nations today – success now and eternally! Solomon recorded:

Proverbs 9.10

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

For us today ‘the Holy One’ is Jesus, concealed in Old Testament, revealed in New Testament as we see. The ‘unclean spirits’ at the time of Jesus’ Ministry knew the Holy One was He, as Mark records: “They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach. The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law. Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed by an evil spirit cried out,

Mark 1.21-24

“What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are – the Holy One of God!”

The same ‘unclean spirits’ as mentioned in an Editorial [1] are trying to destroy the Christian heritage, Christian civilisation and way of life in all our Covenant Nations and Territories today! We pray for spiritual revival – for  perception and understanding of the love and purposes of Almighty God for the salvation of His elect in His Covenant Nations.  Solomon recorded:

Proverbs 3.3-7, 13

“Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favour and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.” “Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding,…” Solomon understood through the Holy Spirit’s inspiration that not obeying Almighty God’s commands in Holy Scripture would result in chaos – that where we lose our principles, ignore God’s revelation we invite chaos. Solomon recorded:

Proverbs 29.18

Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but blessed is he who keeps the law.”.

In NIV we see ‘cast off restraint’ – in AV ‘the people perish’.

Further as we focus on prayer, the Apostle Paul recorded his prayer:

Philippians 1.9-11

“And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ…”

The Greek word for ‘best’ simply means sincere and genuine. This is a far cry from the evil reality of how Satan is trying to destroy the faithful. In Covenant Nation America (Manasseh) the evil, sinister hate counter-culture push against the righteousness of Christianity is devilish. Are the people in our Covenant Nations going ‘broke spiritually’ by going ‘woke’? Do not people understand the devil hates his own? He destroys his own and he is destroyed (Revelation 5.5-6).

The Editorial [2] comment is inspiring: “The experience of the 2020 ‘pandemic’ for the Covenant Nations has been one of severe testing as the economic effects have deepened. Repeated requests have been made to the Prime Minister for a National Day of Prayer, all of which failed.”

In the prayer I prayed at the beginning of this concern, I was further reflecting on the inspiration given by the Holy Spirit and His strengthening us to keep us in the will of Almighty God our Father. Remember the Lord Jesus’ prayer:

Matthew 6.8-13

“…your Father knows what you need before you ask him. “This, then, is how you should pray: ” ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’ “

Almighty God’s Holy Spirit always inspires us to make prayer our first priority not our last resort. In the midst of dreadful trouble, we are reminded by the Holy Spirit that Almighty God’s peace is not an absence of trouble but in the midst of that trouble it is His peace in our hearts as we follow the Holy Spirit’s leading to victory. Winston Churchill knew this 1939-45. Remember the Seven Days of Prayer where King George VI asked the Empire to pray earnestly for victory. It happened! It can happen again in the Holy Spirit through spiritual revival! The Editorial quoted before mentioned ‘Day of Prayer’; are all Covenant Nations worthless and soft? Are those who say they are born-again truly born-again? Jesus used the parables as illustration of Spiritual responsiveness.  This is seen clearly when Matthew records in the parable of the sower.  The ‘birds’ ate the seed on the path. The significance of the ‘birds’ is further revealed by the parable of the mustard seed. The ‘birds’ are the fake Christians in the Church. They are sons of the evil one.

Are the subjects of the Crown fearful? Has Marxism, the poison of political correctness and the stifling of freedom of speech caused apathy, anxiety and fearful indifference? The Apostle Paul encourages us and records:

Philippians 4.4-7

“Rejoice in the Lord always. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

There are wonderful plans here for us by Almighty God’s Holy Spirit. This is all part of Almighty God’s purposes in the Old Testament and New Testament – His purposes are the salvation of the elect in all of our human history. We know the remnant of the Old Covenant is saved. What of Gentiles of His New Covenant in Jesus until the end of our history? We need to encourage evangelism for a new spiritual revival as was the spiritual revival in Covenant Nation Britain (Ephraim) from the time of the first Book of Common Prayer 1549 and revised 1662.

We know that all the elect of the House of Israel will be saved – the remnant of the Old Covenant and those ‘blind’ now ‘seeing’ Gentiles of the New Covenant now grafted in. Please read again for emphasis John 6.37-39 above.

The Holy Spirit inspired Paul to explain Jesus’ righteousness:

Romans 3.22-26

“This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

This is the wonderful truth of God’s righteousness which is His commitment to do for us in our Covenant Nations what we cannot do for ourselves. It is the side of His justice that deals with our rescue and acquittal eternally. Believing in Jesus’s atoning sacrifice sets us eternally free with Him.

Hebrews 9.11-12 & 24-26

“When Christ came as high priest of the good things that are already here, he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not man-made, that is to say, not a part of this creation. He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption.” “For Christ did not enter a man-made sanctuary that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence. Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own. Then Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But now he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself.”

As I prayed my prayer at the start, I thank Almighty God for our Covenant Nations and the Editorial team’s commitment and conviction inspired by the Holy Spirit. I am reminded how Paul was encouraged and inspired by hope:

1Thessalonians 1:2-4

“We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers. We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.

I believe Jesus inspired Paul to understand true Holy Spirit inspired conviction, when Jesus said on the Thursday afternoon before Good Friday:

John 16.5-11

“Now I am going to him who sent me, yet none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ Because I have said these things, you are filled with grief. But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.”

We pray for spiritual and physical healing and spiritual revival.
